Midwest Eye Care is looking for a Call Center Operator at our location at 13500 California Street in Omaha, NE.

Full-time, Monday - Friday

8:00am - 5:00pm

In this role YOU will:

  • Answer and triage patient phone calls and direct them appropriately in an ophthalmology practice with 6 different locations across the Omaha metro area, Council Bluffs and Fremont.
  • Route all non-patient incoming calls appropriately within the practice.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments according to office guidelines.
  • Serve as a liaison between the patient, and various departments.
  • Documents in the electronic patient record.
  • Respond to and handle various requests for medical records.
  • Upon request, provide copies of eyeglass prescription(s) to third parties.

Requirements

Outstanding candidates will have:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to identify, analyze, and solve patient concerns.
  • Experience delivering positive professional phone customer service experience at all times.
  • The ability to navigate in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
  • Willingness to learn the optical environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of the work day.
Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:
  • Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification
  • Successfully complete drug testing.
