Midwest Eye Care is looking for a Call Center Operator at our location at 13500 California Street in Omaha, NE.
Full-time, Monday - Friday
8:00am - 5:00pm
In this role YOU will:
- Answer and triage patient phone calls and direct them appropriately in an ophthalmology practice with 6 different locations across the Omaha metro area, Council Bluffs and Fremont.
- Route all non-patient incoming calls appropriately within the practice.
- Schedule and reschedule appointments according to office guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison between the patient, and various departments.
- Documents in the electronic patient record.
- Respond to and handle various requests for medical records.
- Upon request, provide copies of eyeglass prescription(s) to third parties.

RequirementsOutstanding candidates will have: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to identify, analyze, and solve patient concerns.
- Experience delivering positive professional phone customer service experience at all times.
- The ability to navigate in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- Willingness to learn the optical environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of the work day.
Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day: - Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification
- Successfully complete drug testing.
