Position: Project Editor
Team structure: Part of the Publishing Department. For this role there are 3 openings.
Location: Turner Falls, MA (5x days onsite)
Top 3 Must Haves:
- Ideally 3+ years in writing/editing
- Developmental editing, line editing, revisions etc.
- Experience publishing/editing books and curriculums
Preferred experience:
- Bachelors in Communications/English/Journalism or related
- Background in Education
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor s degree in communication, English, or journalism or a closely related field, background in education a plus.
At least 4 years experience in writing and editing, preferably in book publishing and preferably in an office setting.
Experience in developmental editing, copy editing and proofreading; certification preferred. Strong candidate without certification must become certified with defined time person.
Experience with or ability to quickly learn InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other publishing productivity software.
