Senior Attorney or Counsel - Banking & Finance

The Merker Group is working with a mid-sized law firm in New York City to find a Senior Associate or Counsel with experience in banking transactions, to work on lending, letter of credit and other transactions for financial institutions. This position has great potential for advancement within an active and expanding practice group.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and closing domestic and international financing transactions (both syndicated and bilateral, secured, and unsecured) and a strong knowledge of the UCC and Bankruptcy Code.
• Experience in trade finance or fund finance (e.g., lending against capital commitments or subscriptions for capital) is a plus.
• Candidates must have a J.D. and be admitted to practice in New York.
