Collinwood is assisting our client, a Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Company in their efforts to hire a Maintenance Technician located in the Chicago, IL area. **Union Position**

Job Summary:

What you will be doing:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns of equipment using PC/PLC ladder logic as a troubleshooting tool in robotic production lines
• Trouble shoot and repair electrical control circuits in production lines to include Presses.
• Maintain Spot and Mig welding equipment used in production lines.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required in production lines to include Presses.

This full-time role is a part of our maintenance team and reports to the maintenance manager.

What we need from you::

• Associate degree in a related technical field or High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of automated processes including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control systems and how they interact with each other.
• Ability to manipulate Fanuc and modify robots.
• Experience with mechanical presses (up to 3000 tons) and transfers.
