Job Details

Responsible for the operation procurement function of the department. Maintains the computerized accuracy of purchasing records (i.e. contract pricing)
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience preferable in the healthcare environment
  • Ability to operate and use existing Hospital Information System and personal computer in performance of procurement duties. Ability to efficiently and accurately input data into the Hospital Information System. Ability to use phone, electronic ordering and facsimile equipment in performance of duties. Ability to research information requested by departments and/or Vendors in performance of duties.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
  • Command of verbal and written English, computer literate
  • Positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills.

Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. College degree desired.

License/Certification:
  • N/A
