Our Business Technology Services team is delivering innovative and reliable network technology solutions to shape AT&T's next generation network to provide connectivity for AT&T's mobility, wireline, and consumer services.Wireless Transport Engineer will design and work hands-on in the lab with high performance network equipment to develop concepts, analyze and visualize data, evaluate potential solutions, and validate performance, compliance, and capabilities of vendor equipment. Relevant technologies include, but are not limited to, Ethernet and TCP/IP networking (L2/L3), Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint Wireless communications, Network Security, and Mobility transport.Education Requirement:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline e.g. Computer Science, or Engineering.Additional Requirements:Practical or theoretical knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as Ethernet, VLAN, DHCP, SNMP, TACACS+, Routing (BGP, OSPF), multicast, CoS/QoS, IPv4, IPv6, UDP, TCP at the protocol and implementation level, to aid in designing and implementing complex, multi-vendor networks, which involves diagnosing, documenting, and resolving issues.An understanding of wireless communications in general, and more specifically microwave/millimeter wave communications and RF propagation.Familiarity with diagnosis and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, iperf, etc.Strong understanding of network security principles and common vulnerabilities.Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, shell script, Javascript, Powershell, etc.Familiarity with one or more virtualization/cloud technologies and platforms such as VMware, KVM, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.Knowledge of relational databases and the ability to craft SQL queries.Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI.Our Sr. Specialist Member of Technical Staff earn between $122,000 - $183,000 USD, annually.
