**Description:**
Seeking a caregiver/teacher for an energetic, fun loving 9-year-old special needs child with Down Syndrome during church activities. Responsibilities include assisting our child as he participates in Sunday morning elementary worship, interacting with him as his one-on-one teacher during Sunday school time, and helping him to interact appropriately with teachers and other children in the childrens ministry when not in one-on-one times. This opportunity is for approximately 5 hours per week and the work will occur at our local church. Specific hours are Wednesday evening from 6:15pm-8:15pm, and Sunday morning from 9:15am-12:15pm. Pay starts at $17 per hour, with an automatic raise to $18 per hour after 90 days. Excellent opportunity to gain valuable special needs experience and to make money during non-traditional work hours.
**Qualifications:**
Applicants should have experience working with or teaching children, experience working with special needs is a plus. Applicants are not required to be a Christian, but should understand that they will be working in a Christian church environment.
