Wisconsin Center District Job Description Guest Services Associate

Position Overview: Guest Services Associate reports to the Guest Services Manager and are responsible for creating excellent guest experiences at any of the three Wisconsin Center District facilities. The Guest Services Associate work under the instruction of Event Service Managers assuming a variety of role functions including, welcoming guests, ushering guests to their seats, and scanning and checking tickets. This position requires someone who is cheerful, friendly outgoing, and willing to help out guests to ensure they have a great experience while attending their event.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates an exceptional experience for guests through a safe, clean, and friendly environment
  • Maintains a calm and professional demeanor in a variety of different situations
  • Works accurately and practically to ensure that patrons are served in a timely manner
  • Provides guests with event and general building information
  • Greets customers and give direction throughout the facilities
  • Scans tickets as patrons enter the facilities during
  • Ushers patrons to their seats
  • Checks badges for events ensuring the safety of each event
  • Maintains a clean working environment as a part of the guest experience
  • Follows all procedures for Guest Services operations including uniform and radio operation procedures
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by management, to ensure the effective utilization of the company s resources and to ensure customer satisfaction
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong project management and organizational skills in which attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects on time is essential
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders (internal and external); excellent situation adaptability
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to navigate organizations to build relationships and garner support; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently; exercise initiative, resourcefulness and good judgement
  • Flexible and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays as event calendar or deadlines dictate
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; perform basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
Education & Experience:
  • Required
    1. High School diploma or equivalent
    2. 1-3 years of experience in a venue, hospitality, or high-volume customer service industry
  • Preferred
    1. Experience in working with concerts, sporting events and teams is a plus
    2. Bilingual a plus
