Position Title: Senior Accountant
Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities within our client's organization. This role involves managing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles specifics.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Consolidate financial data from multiple sources and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data for budgeting and forecasting processes.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations.
- Record and review journal entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
