Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented individual with expertise in procurement and sourcing within the retail construction industry? We are seeking a Retail Construction Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail development projects by managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and track purchase requisitions, ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and retail development teams to manage PO changes and updates, utilizing Jira for purchase request submissions.
  • Conduct invoice reconciliation, working closely with vendors and accounts payable to resolve outstanding invoices and improve processes.
  • Complete NDAs and conduct RFIs to gather necessary information for projects.
  • Develop RFQs, analyze quotations from vendors, and provide sound sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time, and technical considerations.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and manage cost changes throughout project lifecycles.
  • Take ownership of vendor selection and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, warehouse managers, and other cross-functional teams on project-related tasks.
  • Maintain and manage key supplier relationships and performance throughout project lifecycles.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related technical field preferred. Relevant work experience in procurement or supply chain discipline may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience in indirect procurement, with retail procurement experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and strategic business acumen.
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities, combined with quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Experience conducting bid processes (RFI, RFP, and informal bids), negotiating with vendors, writing contracts, and implementing contracts/agreements.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently with a high level of focus.
  • Adaptability to evolving circumstances and changing organizational requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Smartsheets, ERP Systems (SAP), Coupa, and Jira.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and follow-through.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development for personal and professional growth.
