Position Summary:
The Graphic Designer is the primary contributor to producing engaging, on-brand content across all our media channels. They must have a strong background in the fundamentals and principles of graphic design, layout, printing, typography, color theory, and photo editing. The ability to execute at a high level with attention to detail, precision, creativity, and timeliness is required. As the Graphic Designer, they collaborate with numerous stakeholders during individual conversations and group presentations. As a self-starter and continuous learner, this individual must stay up to date with the latest software, always learning new ways to utilize it more efficiently.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Create and modify brand assets for omni-channel marketing platforms, campaigns, programs, and channels.
- Ensure that brand standards (treatments, messaging, positioning, color, typography, mood, etc.) are being applied correctly and consistently to all assets, collateral, and projects.
- Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to confirm that projects are clearly defined before work is started, including expectations, limitations, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Ensure deliverables are properly prepared for success based on the use case (print, digital, booth, POP, other).
- Provide recommendations on how best to execute projects based on target audience, internal requirements, and channel usage.
- Develop design templates that can be used to scale content from an approved theme.
- Optimize imagery and graphics for use across a variety of platforms and channels.
- Perform design-related quality control functions.
- Conceptualize visuals based on design direction.
- Consistently meet deadlines, be open to change, and take creative direction as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Illustrator, XD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google, and other online platforms used for communications, sharing, editing, and completion of projects.
- Photo editing, re-touching, and composite imaging
- Strong working knowledge of typography, design, color theory, layout, composition
- A keen eye for visual composition, storytelling, and proofreading.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be hands-on and capable of independently producing work.
- Ability to apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of professional graphic design experience, with portfolio examples
- Experience with social media applications and integration.
