What you get to do:

  • Oversee daily operation of assigned team, to include creating daily and weekly schedules, troubleshooting and problem solving, coaching, and counseling, ensuring team member adherence to policy and improving processes where possible.
  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation such as training logs, maintenance logs, opening and closing procedures, lighting plots, patch sheets and SOP's.
  • Critique team member performance and support the group with guidance and feedback.
  • Demonstrate and encourage positive skills set forth by our company's standards and policies.
  • Assist with the creation, implementation and maintenance of employee programs such as new hire orientations, safety SOP's and team member training.
  • Prepare development plans and team member evaluations/reviews.
  • Develop, prioritize, assign, and maintain project lists for assigned areas and tasks.
  • Maintain familiarity with all park venues and be able to work productively and comfortably in all areas of the parks.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Entertainment Productions team on install, operation & maintenance of technical elements for new and existing shows or consumer events.
  • Ensure the work area is fully supplied and staffed for all plans and potential contingencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What it take to succeed:
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license required.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical theater or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years leadership experience in the Entertainment industry.
  • Proven leadership skills and capable of leading and directing a team as well as collaborating with other teams and departments.
  • Ability to train and coach team members on proper techniques and technical skills.
  • Ability to complete provided CPR training/certification.
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain a variety of technical entertainment equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with show system installations and interacting with show producers, stage managers and outside production personnel.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast paced work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and the capacity to learn new or custom software systems.
  • Experience working with a variety of technical entertainment show systems preferred.
  • Experience with project management, team scheduling and creating operational procedures and documentation preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronics, electrical theory, power distribution and systems integration preferred.


What else is important:
  • Able to frequently lift, push, and pull a minimum of 75 pounds using safe practices
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and work at heights between 6 and 65 feet.
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, bending, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, with or without AC and in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
  • Comfortability working in/around water
  • Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes. Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be comfortable with exposure to noise, vibrations and motion.
  • Be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.
