Overview
As a member of the Guest Services Team, you will be an essential part of the Guest experience and help build memories that last a lifetime.The Guest Services Attendant serves as a source of information to the general public during events. This is an events-based, part-time position with no guaranteed weekly hours.Hours per month will be dependent on event schedule andemployee's availability, so monthly hours can range from 8 hours to 120 hours.Can include bag check, coat check, ticket selling and ticket taking, usher, elevator operator, food & beverage support when needed
This role will pay an hourly wage of $16 to $17.

Responsibilities
- Interact with attendees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with SCCC staff and general public.
- Operate basic office equipment; when working at guest services desk, box office or Administrative office
- Information Desk may occasionally be designated as a limited-service Business Center.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving cash.
- Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients.
- Exemplify the SCCC and OVG customer service principles
- Receive and respond to public inquiries and resolve customer complaints or refer the complaint to the Event Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred
- You must love working with and helping people.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of local area and local businesses.
- Work effectively in a service oriented environment, subject to frequently changing priorities.
- Understand the organization and operation of the convention center to assume assigned responsibilities.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contracted in the course of work.
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be 16 years old.
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Position is on call and event driven, with no guaranteed number of hours
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Basic mathematical abilities and computer skills
- Basic telephone skills.
