About the Role:

The role requires a motivated and adaptable individual to support the Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources as Chief of Staff to act as an analyst, project manager and communicator. The Chief of Staff oversees and manages a broad agenda in supporting projects and initiatives at a high level and to high standards. The person in this position will provide comprehensive research, project management, process improvement and administrative coordination to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day functioning of the SVP. This position requires an eagerness to learn, creative problem solving, and a strong business acumen. The Chief of Staff role encompasses five primary accountabilities: preparation for and facilitation of critical SVP meetings; coordination/orchestration of projects or commitments directly involving the SVP and his direct reports; independent leadership of special SVP-initiated projects; development of key communication and research on behalf of the SVP; and proactive identification of issues that could impact the successful achievement of organizational goals.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist the SVP in facilitating effective decision-making and act as sounding board for new ideas and initiatives.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on high priority projects on behalf of the SVP.
  • Ensure the SVP's action items are addressed properly, efficiently, and judiciously by keeping track of progress until resolved.
  • Create communications and presentation materials for the SVP as needed by gathering data from various resources across the organization.
  • Participate in regular meetings with key stakeholders to discuss SVP-related projects and issues, represent the expectations and priorities of the SVP and relevant functions and consult the SVP for specific decisions, as appropriate.
  • Research and fact-check using company databases and external sources; develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators and other company metrics.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the SVP by triaging and responding to inquiries at his request in person or in writing.
  • Plan and provide logistical support for executive level meetings including agendas, minutes and logistics.
  • Analyze data as requested by the SVP and other leaders.
  • Control expenditures within limitations of project budget.


What You Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Ability to assist the SVP in making effective decisions and serve as a sounding board for new initiatives
  • Skills in providing guidance and oversight on high-priority projects
  • Proficiency in managing and tracking the SVP's action items to ensure they are addressed efficiently and effectively until resolution
  • Capability in creating communication and presentation materials by synthesizing data from multiple organizational resources
  • Experience in participating in meetings with key stakeholders to discuss SVP-related projects, represent the SVP's priorities, and provide consultative support on decisions
  • Ability to effectively triage and respond to inquiries directed to the SVP, both in person and in writing
  • Experience in planning and providing logistical support for executive-level meetings, including setting agendas and recording minutes
  • Competency in analyzing data as requested by the SVP and other leaders
  • Experience in controlling expenditures within the constraints of project budgets


This position requires on-site presence at Spellman High Voltage headquarters in Hauppauge, NY. Some travel may be required.

Our good faith estimates of the salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
