Summary

The NDT Technician will be responsible for performing various examinations on live natural gas or liquid pipelines. Detailing examinations but not limited to company report formats and interfacing with the customer representative(s). Emphasis is placed on the quality of work product, safety and efficiency of work execution safety and responsibility.

This is a full-time travel position.

  • Set up and utilize various forms of equipment.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety, health, quality, and operational guidelines and procedures.
  • Possess the ability to recognize and mitigate hazards.
  • Display strong organizational skills with equipment and data report retention.
  • Fill out daily inspection reports and documentation for company specific procedures; but not limited to customer specific procedures.
  • Willingness to perform other job-related tasks assigned by management.
  • Adhere to company code of conduct and expectations on and off projects.
  • Complete time and material sheets or daily workflow documents.


Requirements

Required / Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma and Equivalent
  • Requires travel nationwide.
  • Certified or certifiable in NDT/NDE methods (i.e. MT, UT & VT)
  • Level II UTSW / UTT (1+ years preferred)
  • Level II PAUT (+1 years preferred)
  • MT II (+1 years preferred)
  • Ability to pass internal qualifications, written exams, specific exams as well as practical examinations.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
  • Knowledge in application and compliance requirements of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, PHISMA etc.) and industry standards and recommended practices (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability to self-direct work schedule.
  • Make and keep company and customer commitments.
  • Ability to lead others.
  • Ability to share on-the-job knowledge with others.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels of employees / customers.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and ethics.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license or must be able to obtain a T.W.I.C card.
  • Nace CP-1 preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Trimble GPS is preferred.
  • OQ NCCER preferred.
  • Ability to pass DOT & NON-DOT Drug examinations.
  • Have own self transportation (4x4) vehicle.
  • Laptop PC for reporting and data review.

Working Conditions
  • Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, crawling, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation, and color vision.
  • Moving, carrying, and lifting objects up to 75+ pounds
  • Enter/Exit and work in excavations.
  • Be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold.
  • Work in and near industrial hazards.
  • Be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Applicants must meet weight restrictions to ensure their safety when utilizing safety harnesses.
