Job Details

Basic Function:

Support Operations and Engineering in the basic setup and operating of CNC equipment in the Primary Operations work cell to maintain and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics for processes involving the conversion of foam and other materials into finished products, assemblies, and/or kits.

Responsibilities:

  • Observe all safety policies and procedures. Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Promptly submit safety concerns into IssueTrak and review with Lead Operator and Supervisor.
  • Produce parts per Process Control Plans (PCP), Work Order Instructions, drawing requirements, and quality standards.
  • Use manufacturing work orders to set up and manufacture a product that meets quality requirements, recording measurements as required. Read and interpret drawings to ensure the production of conforming parts.
  • Inspect and verify work before submitting it for inspection. If non-conforming, process via non-conforming material procedures. Correctly and accurately, complete all necessary paperwork to ensure compliance.
  • Develop a thorough and complex understanding of all aspects of the POPS work cell. Perform efficient and effective diagnosis and troubleshooting of routine or minor problems.
  • Able to do offsets and compensations; calculating requirements, including basic math.
  • Maintain specifications by observing machining operations, taking measurements, and detecting malfunctions.
  • Communicate issues to Operations and Engineering and offer support during the troubleshooting process.
  • Monitor and report scrap daily. Offer suggestions, as applicable, to mitigate future occurrences. Document on appropriate paperwork to ensure future production runs are aware of issues and/or non-conformances.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the magnet system and keep communication boards up to date and accurate.
  • Perform all tasks in compliance with company safety and environmental policies and procedures and all applicable codes and standard practices.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall company objectives.

  • Experience:

    1. Two to three years of CNC manufacturing related experience.

    2. Three years' experience in manufacturing processing and troubleshooting

    Education/Training:

    High School Diploma or equivalent
