Electrician

Job Details

The Electrician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial equipment and processes by maintaining, troubleshooting electrical systems. The Electrician will collaborate with Plant Operations and Maintenance to ensure the reliability and functionality of critical systems.

1. Assist with all plant maintenance to ensure the plant is run as efficient as possible
   1. Troubleshoot electrical problems
   2. Keep complete documentation regarding all electrical projects.
2. Provide input for cost savings and process improvements
   1. Assist in creating Preventive/Predictive maintenance programs
3. Keep work areas in an organized and safe condition
   1. Ensure 100% completion of PM program
   2. Ensure 100% adherence to LOTO program

Required Qualifications

• Proficiently troubleshoot electrical control circuits (120vac and 24vdc)
• Ability to operate company equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow direction and standard operating procedures
• Familiar with all current health and safety regulations
• Ability to work alone and with a team
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to speak and comprehend basic English
• Ability to stand and walk frequently; twist, bend and reach on a regular basis
• Ability to work from elevated platforms and boom lifts over 30ft

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with motor controls (VFD's, soft-starts and starters)

• Knowledge in instrumentation is preferred but training can be provided.
