Senior Employment Litigation Role - Growing Financial Services Company

Our client, a growing distributor of annuity, life and health insurance solutions is seeking a Senior Employment Litigation Attorney to assume a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations concerning employment law, labor, and employee relations. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing strategic legal counsel and representation across a broad spectrum of labor and employment law matters. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with regulations while proactively managing legal risks within our dynamic financial services environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily operations pertaining to employment law, labor, and employee relations.
  • Offer strategic legal guidance and representation to the organization on a diverse array of labor and employment law concerns, encompassing discrimination, harassment, wage and hour matters, retaliation, and employee benefits.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to mitigate legal risks associated with employment-related claims and litigation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to remain abreast of evolving employment laws and regulations, providing proactive counsel to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including Human Resources, to craft and implement policies, protocols, and training initiatives ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive workplace environment.
  • Act as the primary representative for the company in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings related to employment issues.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other service providers as required.



Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida state bar and in good standing.
  • 3+ years of employment litigation experience at a notable law firm or in a commercial legal setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing employment-related litigation and disputes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
