One of our top clients in the Greater Rockford area is hiring a Safety Manager to join their team! The role has opened up due to tremendous growth. The Safety Manager is an integral part of the company's distribution department and will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with all occupational health and safety legislation
- Perform safety inspections to identify potential hazards or risks
- Maintain a current safety training matrix and report on any deficiencies or identified gaps in the training program
- Monitor and partner with HR in managing workers compensation claims

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills
This role is required to be on-site 5 days a week**
