Job Summary: Knik is looking for a Traffic Control Flagger
Davis Bacon Wages - Per Contract
Responsibilities
- Worker controls the movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects:
- Discusses traffic plans and the type and location of control devices per supervisor.
- Distributes traffic control signs and markers along the site in designated traffic movement patterns through the site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.
- Warns construction/utility workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals, accidents, and injury to workers.
- Informs drivers of detour routes through work sites.
Requirements
- Highway (Road) Flaggers must be certified by ATSSA
- Traffic Control Supervisor must be certified by ATSSA
- Flagging Level I must be certified by IMSA
- Work Zone Specialist must be certified by IMSA
- Strong verbal communication skills, ability to read and, write, and good eye-hand coordination
- Ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events
- Employee needs to be able to work without supervision
- As this job may require long periods of standing being subjected to adverse weather conditions, the flagger must be in good physical condition
- Good eyesight (correction vision if needed) and hearing
- Pre-hire drug test
