Job Description:

We are seeking a Licensed Clinician (LMHC, LICSW) to join a multi-disciplinary team in a new psychiatric day treatment program for adolescents. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys collaborative teamwork, is adaptable to the needs of patients at a moderately acute level of care, is confident in a fast-paced environment, and can lead groups of up to 12 adolescents.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Participates in all aspects of case management including intake screenings, treatment planning, discharge planning, and collateral calls

Rotates responsibilities with other clinicians of initiating intake appointments and connecting with referrals, leading intake appointments, facilitating group therapy, and greeting families in lobby/milieu

Facilitate therapeutic groups using our innovative new curriculum created by ilearn wellness program coordinator in DBT, CBT, ACT, Social Skills, psychoeducation, and mindfulness.

Collaborate with other clinicians and Nurses on biopsychosocial assessments to develop and implement treatment plan to patients.

Participate in daily safety planning and cope ahead strategies with patients

Documentation of clinical encounters and daily notes completed in a timely manner.

Assist in monitoring the milieu which includes checking in with patients needing additional support.

Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of referral resources throughout the service area.

Identifies and implements group topics, psychosocial information and interventions based on current patient needs and in consultation with the clinical director.

Works closely with members of the health care team in the development of the plan of treatment, goals including discharge plans, based on the biopsychosocial assessment and accepted social work interventions.

Provides positive customer relations in dealing with patients, families, PCP, referral sources, service agencies, and schools.

Adheres to department/hospital policies.

Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and other governing organizations.

Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, technicians, RNs, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care to patients.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.


Requirements:

  • License in Massachusetts (LMHC, LICSW)
  • Master s in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
  • 2 years experience in a mental health setting
  • Experience with adolescent population preferred
  • Knowledge of higher levels of care and experience with intake assessments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
