Job Summary/Description:

KNOE is looking for a part-time production assistant to join our award-winning news team. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment. This position has the potential for upward growth within the newsroom and a flexible schedule is required. Applicants should be highly motivated and eager to learn how a television station operates.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Editing video and sound for all KNOE multimedia platforms
- Positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under deadline pressure
- Valid driver's license as some local travel may be required
- Occasional operation of studio teleprompter and various other duties as assigned will be required

Qualifications/Requirements:

- The successful candidate will be creative, extremely detail-oriented, and have very strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Strong grasp of visual design, grammar and spelling
- Positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under deadline pressure
- Flexible to work mornings, nights, and weekends
- Able to sit and stand for extended periods
- Able to climb and work on ladders and comfortably lift 30 pounds or more
- Computer literacy is a must
- Strong grasp of visual design, grammar, and spelling
- While previous television experience is preferred, it is not required
- Experience with HD video production, Ross Overdrive, Vision switchers, Ross Xpression Graphics, NVerzion Master Control Automation, ENPS, and non-linear editing systems is a definite plus
