Professional Search Group OC is seeking a Buyer to join their clients team! The Buyer will directly support the company with the purchasing and proposals for needed inventory. Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to facilitate the procurement process.
  • Engage in negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms on price, availability, delivery, and quality.
  • Generate Purchase Orders and Request for Quotes as necessary.
  • Monitor and manage all purchase orders to ensure alignment with manufacturing schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including inventory control, manufacturing, program managers, quality assurance, and accounting to ensure outsourced items meet both internal and external customer requirements.


Buyer Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in fabrication procurement, preferably within aerospace or military sectors in a new product development or R&D setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers.
  • Previous experience liaising with external service providers for design, calibration, rental of testing equipment, and tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO certification standards and adherence to established operating procedures and processes.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and adeptness in managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and mathematical aptitude to ensure clarity and accuracy in decision-making.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the capacity to collaborate on issue resolution, explore alternatives, and implement solutions across the Supply Chain department.
  • Self-driven, independent work ethic coupled with a professional demeanor and commitment to ethical conduct in all business relationships.
  • Dependable in meeting attendance requirements, adhering to deadlines for part deliveries, achieving objectives, and remaining resilient under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook.
