We are conducting a search on behalf of a pioneering manufacturer of appliance components for a dedicated Quality Manager.

With a global footprint and a workforce exceeding 1000 employees worldwide, the company's facility in the southern Raleigh-Durham area is poised for expansion, projected to grow from 120 to 170 employees within the next year.
Job Responsibilities:
This role demands a passionate individual committed to upholding and enhancing quality standards within the organization. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with central Group Quality to facilitate the certification of plant QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Mentor, oversee, and foster the professional development of the plant's Quality Team, comprising Quality Engineers and Quality Control operators.
- Design and deliver technical training on quality-related matters to operations, ensuring alignment with established quality protocols, customer expectations, and industry standards.
- Enhance systems for data collection and analysis, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing divisions.
- Strategize, oversee, and evaluate the performance of the "voice of customer" program and quality management systems, adapting strategies and procedures as required.
- Lead the investigation of customer rejects and scrap, orchestrating organizational responses and spearheading improvement endeavors.
- Address customer, internal, and external quality concerns through the adept utilization of Quality Tools, including immediate containment actions, improvement initiatives, and efficiency validation utilizing PDCA, 8Ds, CAR, and CAPA methodologies.
- Conduct Internal and Supplier Audits, liaising with certification bodies and facilitating customer audits.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s Degree in engineering or manufacturing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Management roles; 8 years within manufacturing environments.
- Robust background in quality, process, operations, or engineering within manufacturing, preferably in automated processes such as automotive or household appliance manufacturing.
- Proficient communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Self-directed and capable of working autonomously.
- Thorough understanding of ISO 9000 quality system requirements or equivalent standards (IATF preferred).
- Proficiency in utilizing and training others on quality tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, 5-whys, 8D, Gage R&R, FMEA, SPC, etc.
- Certified Quality Auditor (internal and supplier auditing) in compliance with ISO 9001, VDA, etc.
- Preferred certification in Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
- Familiarity with AIAG standards and Automotive Core Tools, including APQP and PPAP.
- Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving, willing to collaborate across functions and engage with customers.
- Authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
