Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supplier Risk Management Process & Technology, you will serve as change agent and problem solver, working to drive efficiencies, reduce waste, and increase value within and across a variety of functional supply chain areas.

The SRM Business Process & Technology team supports various verticals (e.g., Supplier Risk Management, Category Management) within ESC, as well as many governance and control teams throughout the organization. The team is dedicated to delivering useful insights to our business partners and senior level executives across Freddie Mac. We serve as the continuous improvement and thought leadership function within the department, exploring ways to drive efficiencies and productivity through improvements in people, process, and technology.


Your Impact:


The Supplier Risk Management Process & Technology Senior will play an integral role in our journey of transforming ESC into a leading Supply Chain organization. You will help the team drive efficiencies, reduce waste, and increase value within and across the supplier risk management function, ensuring full integration of our end-to-end processes. This exciting role is project based and will provide you with a breadth of experiences no day will be the same.


In this role, you will:

  • Play a key role on the Supplier Risk Management Process & Technology team by supporting a variety of SRM transformational change projects through analyzing processes and control structures to identify opportunities for simplification, eliminate duplication of efforts, and strike an appropriate balance of risk and control.
  • Design and implement innovative processes and technology solutions, staying current on industry leading practices and governance requirements
  • Enhance systems and processes by identifying efficiency opportunities, developing and driving continued enhancements to our SRM processes and technologies .
  • Prepare for and facilitate listening sessions to gain input from impacted stakeholders, partnering with them to diagnose pain points and devise plans for resolution.
  • Develop and maintain process and procedural documentation
  • Deliver training and support transformation activities for internal ESC and business partners socialize improvements, reduce time for adoption, and make change stick .
  • Interact with key stakeholders on complex process and technical matters requiring coordination across multiple organizational lines.


Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of supplier risk management and assessment processes and technologies and how they can be leveraged to drive efficiencies. Deep technical knowledge is not required, however, must have willingness and ability to learn.
  • Typically has 5 - 10 years of related experience, ideally working in a supply chain / procurement / risk management organization or equivalent in a similar consulting role.
  • Demonstrated experience in Third Party Risk Management methodologies and risk mitigation principles such as Inherent Risk Assessments, Supplier Questionnaires, Contingency Plans, etc. required. Previous experience with ProcessUnity a strong plus.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in supply chain management, operations management, risk management, engineering or similar. Advanced studies/degree preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
  • Experience managing changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Record of high performance in previous roles.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $94,000 - $140,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
