Keystone Bar & Grill is a rapidly growing, privately held casual dining concept. Our growing restaurant brand is committed to providing a superior experience and the highest quality customer service for every guest. What makes us unique is our relaxing, family-friendly environment, extensive beer and cocktail menus, and out-of-this-world comfort food dishes. Our lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch menus are filled with fresh, locally-sourced products and made-from-scratch items, including our famous mac & cheese.
**Scope & General Purpose**
The Host/Hostess is a professional, energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with great communication skills and a passion for hospitality, food and beverage. This position is often the first point of contact for our guests, so it is imperative that you are kind and welcoming and greet all guests. This position ensures the timely flow of seating of all guests and maintains positive customer interactions. The Host/Hostess should embrace the 4EG Mission, We enhance neighborhoods by creating the most enjoyable guest experiences and environments for people to gather, eat, and drink.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
* Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate with teammates, management and guests
* Ensure each customer receives outstanding customer service
* Prioritize tasks while focusing on guest needs first
* Greet guests as soon as they walk in the door
* Walk guests to their seats and present menus and identify server by name
* Communicate with servers on where they are working and who has been sat in their sections
* Answer guest questions
* Manage seat rotation and remain informed of server out times
* Communicate wait times to the staff
* Responsible for cleaning menus, entryway, and windows
* Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and the stocking of restrooms
* Wipe down high chairs and booster seats
* Assist in bussing tables
* Complete shift checklists opening, mid, closing checklists
* Adhere to dress code, appearance and grooming standards specified in manual
* Attend regular staff meetings
* Participate in regular training as required by management
* Other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

* Excellent communication skills
* Able to interact with guests
* Understands how to run a seating chart
* Able to multi-task and not be overwhelmed
* Must be energetic, friendly, and have a positive attitude
* Personal accountability
* Must demonstrate reliability
**Computer Equipment and Software Requirements**
* Proficient with seating systems
**Education and Experience Required**
* High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
* Prior host/hostess experience preferred
**Physical Demands**
* Physical exertion, including standing for long periods of time, bending, climbing, lifting and moving up to 20 lbs
* Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
