Requirements :
- Years of Experience: 4 - 5 years related work experience preferably in food industry manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience, with minimum of 2 years in supervision.
- Education: High School diploma required - Bachelor's degree preferred
- Responsible for managing production, packaging, and bakery operations on production lines. They also ensure that the company's and USDA's requirements are met.
A production supervisor's duties may include :
- Coordinating and supervising bakery staff with proper cleaning, weighing, mixing, cutting, baking, and cooking
- Supervising and coordinating tray setup according to menus and bakery specifications
- Planning and adjusting work assignments of personnel
- Operating facility metal detectors, if required
- Ensuring employee compliance with work rules
- Assisting with employee training
- Making recommendations on disciplinary action
- Maintaining cleanliness of work area
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Monitoring production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained
- Helping oversee sanitation operations to maintain a clean and food safe environment
- Enforcing plant rules, regulations, and procedures
- Evaluating subordinate performance
- Communicating with employees
- Providing information for work performance improvement
