Overview:

Prepares and sets up tooling from extrusion schedule to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity by performing the following duties.



Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures enough dies are in the ovens at each press based upon production schedule.
  • Recycles failed dies quickly.
  • Places dies in caustic solution to clean them of aluminum residue.
  • Polishes dies as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and several years of die correction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must possess a valid Forklift Operators license and have prior forklift experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit, talk, and hear; climb and balance. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
