Position Statement: As a member of the Environmental Services Team, you will be a key player in ensuring laundry and cleaning services are met and up to our standards of excellence. You will work in a team that requires strong flexibility and focus on productivity.
Key Responsibilities: (this should contain no more than 10 bullets)
- Selects cleaning materials and supplies and prepares solutions according to procedure. Loads service and housekeeping linen carts and transports to work area.
- Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions.
- Cleans assigned areas by washing walls, doors, door frames, ceilings, vents, patient televisions, and windows.
- Operates tumblers and blanket dryers.
- Hangs finished garments on hangers or places on rack or folds and stacks garments and linens.
- Marks or otherwise identifies patient and hospital laundry with departmental or individual identification.
- Sorts articles into groups according to laundry treatment each will receive.
- Segregates worn, stained, or otherwise imperfect articles.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Ability to go above and beyond in customer service.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to professionally communicate with team members and management.
- Ability to show up to work when scheduled, planning needed time off as in advance as possible.
- Ability to change gears and be flexible in work day, helping out where needed.
