Job Details

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7:30a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Must be willing to work weekends, Over-time and be on call when needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervise logistics employees who verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Duties include shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Overseeing supply chain operations.
  • Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation.
  • Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.
  • Reviewing, preparing, and routing sales orders & purchase orders using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
  • Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
  • Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues.
  • Liaising with vendors and customers.
  • Answering customer & customer service queries.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Prepare documents, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes.
  • Contact carrier representative to arrange, shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Create UPS shipments and ship confirm.
  • Assist office and production departments in optimizing orders for fabrication, as needed.
  • Performs other assignments as directed.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations for OTR & LTL transportation/including OS&D & claims.

Problem-solving skills. Must handle unforeseen issues, such as delivery problems, and adjust plans as needed to resolve the issues.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business Analytics (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

Experience:2+ years' experience in logistics or shipping.

3+ years' experience in a supervisory role in logistics or related field.

Computer Skills:Working knowledge of logistics software (JDE and UPS), warehouse software (WMS) & Salesforce(preferred)

Certifications &Licenses:Valid Driver's License, forklift certification.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets.The annual midpoint salary for this position is expected$97,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
