**All Pets Health Center** has an exciting opportunity for a **Kennel Attendant** to join our team!

All Pets Health Center is a full-service, AAHA-Accredited small animal, avian, and exotic practice located in the growing town of Spring Hill, Tennessee. Our focus is on the human-animal bond and creating a fear-free experience for our patients and their human family members. Applicant should also hold the same values as our hospital in providing exceptional care to our patients while creating a lasting bond with our clients.

**Location:** 4825 Main Street, STE 3, Spring Hill, TN 37174 **Tentative Schedule:** Full time position - typical schedule is rotating four 10-hour shifts Mon-Fri and three 10-hour shifts Mon-Fri and 5-hour shift Saturday. Rotating weekend and holiday availability is required. Will consider part-time candidates!

**Ideal Qualifications:**

* Professional animal industry experience preferred (veterinary, day care, pet sitting, shelter)

* General cat and dog handling experience required

* Must be comfortable working with all types of animals - small animal, avian, exotic

* Love for animals and the importance of the human-animal bond is necessary for this position

* Must be adaptable and eager to learn

* Strong customer service skills

**Summary:** A Kennel Attendant provides daily care, feeding and exercise of boarding and hospitalized pets. He or she also pays close attention to pets' status such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying technicians and veterinarians when a pet needs medical attention. Proper record documentation and accurate completion of boarding forms and cage cards is critical. A Kennel Attendant must pay close attention to details, understand and follow proper feeding and sanitation procedures and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

* Walking and cleaning patients, feeding, cleaning cages and hospital, and assist in restraint as needed.

* Will need to assist with answering clinic phones and fill in at the front desk as needed.

**Special Working Conditions:**

* Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.

* Endure sitting, standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods

* Ability to be confident around pets.

* Able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment that can be moderately high.

* Associate is routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medication/controlled substances.

* Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to perform successfully the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.

* Must be able to exchange accurate information with all clients and team members.
