Job Description
A leader in the specialty crop industry is looking to hire a Farm Operations Manager. This position offers a robust compensation package including a base salary, bonuses, healthcare and many other bells and whistles! If you are looking for a career in the potato industry, this is for you!!
Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise and coordinate the operations necessary for specialty crop production, including but not limited to tillage, maintenance, planting, cultivating, harvest, etc.
- Help manage scheduling of fertilizer applications, irrigation, and chemical applications
- Consistently communicate about farm activities, challenges, and management decisions
- Support innovation of farm practices
- Ensure proper safety procedures for personnel and equipment are being followed at all times
Qualifications: - 7+ years experience in the agriculture industry
- Valid driver s license
- Good leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and with a team
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Potato experience preferred
