JOB TITLE:

Utilities Engineering Student Internship

JOB PURPOSE:

Students will obtain valuable experience in an engineering office. This is a part-time non-benefited position and students should be interested in working at least 10 hours a week during the spring and fall semesters with full-time summer employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • PROVIDE SUPPORT TO UNIVERSITY CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISORS & ENGINEERS
    • PROVIDE PROJECT COORDINATION FOR CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION AND REMODEL PROJECTS
    • LOCATE, MARK AND MAP CAMPUS UTILITIES
    • MAINTAIN OFFICE ARCHIVES

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position is not eligible for remote work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Current UW Student
Experience: Engineering and/or project management experience preferred
Other requirements:

-Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy found at:

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH:
    • ENGINEERING MAJORS
    • WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF AUTODESK AutoCAD & REVIT, ArcGIS
    • TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
