Retail and Visitor Services Representative Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation - Los Angeles, CA Position Type Part Time Education Level Not Specified Travel Percentage None Job Shift Day Job Category Sales Description The Retail and Visitor Services Representative actively engages with visitors at the museums Admissions Desk and in the Retail Store. Serving as the face of the museum, this position is responsible for processing admission sales, upselling membership and vault tours, providing visitors with information about exhibitions and upcoming events, and providing an overall welcoming environment at the Petersen Automotive Museum. In the retail store, the associate works closely with customers to determine their needs, answer questions about products and recommend solutions, including prompt resolution of complaints.

****Essential Functions:****

* Maintain accurate monetary transactions including fees for admission, advance admission, parking, memberships as well as group/school tours, and gift tickets/cards.

* Provide excellent customer service, while consistently meeting sales goals, to Museum patrons.

* Develop product knowledge to stay up-to-date on product features.

* Maintain awareness of current promotional events and sales.

* Assist in maintaining the Museums high standards of visual appearance.

* Review daily cash drawer transactions for admissions.

* Facilitate the Forza Motorsport Racing Experience gallery and oversee the VR/Hololens experience.

* Adhere to loss prevention and inventory control compliance and procedures.

* Conduct museum visitor surveys and collect data/feedback.

* Availability on weekends, holidays, and the flexibility to work at museum events.

* Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

**Knowledge, Skill and Experience:**

1. Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

AA degree preferred

2. Minimum Experience required:

One year of Cashier/Customer Service experience preferred

3. Skills Required:

* Cashier and Customer Service experience preferred

* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

* High attention to detail

* Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

* Hands-on experience with POS transactions

* Familiarity with inventory procedures

* A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus

* Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner

* Solid computer skills

* Ability to work with minimal supervision

* Highly organized and able to store items efficiently

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Proficiency in English

* Availability to work flexible/fixed weekly schedules
