Do you love transforming spaces into spotlessly clean sanctuaries? We re hiring a professional housekeeper to help us ensure our hotel guests have a wonderful stay with us. You ll perform basic cleaning duties like making beds, washing sheets, mopping, dusting, and ironing; you ll also restock supplies and make sure restrooms and common areas are clean and orderly. Job seekers should be personable, organized, and enjoy working on a team.Responsibilities:Clean and arrange hotel rooms in accordance with our hotel s standards prior to guest arrivalManage the cleanliness of common spaces such as the hallways, public restrooms, and hotel lobbyMop, vacuum, make beds, change sheets, do laundry, stock rooms, and do other cleaning duties as assignedAnswer general questions from guestsWrite down what rooms were cleaned, report lost and found items and any damage or repairs neededWork ObjectivesStock supply cart and use the number of supplies that are in accordance with standardsClean guest baths, which includes but is not limited to cleaning bath fixtures, commodes, floors, walls, and mirrorsInspect the room for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly and make small repairs such as replacing batteries for the remote control or replacing light bulbs. Report requests for repairs to the supervisor or maintenance department in accordance with hotel proceduresInspect rooms and baths to assure quality standards have been achievedAfter cleaning each room and bath, report the room status to the front desk in accordance with hotel proceduresAchieve productivity and quality standards for cleaning rooms and bathsAfter cleaning rooms and baths, storing carts and supplies, and emptying trash in accordance with hotel proceduresGuest SatisfactionAnnounce presence and enter guest rooms in accordance with standards and proceduresSmile, acknowledge, and greet guests in rooms and/or in passing in hallways and other public areasTeamworkBe available to work a flexible scheduleAssist other team members in various assignments, such as operating the hotel automobile or courtesy van, and assisting with complimentary breakfast, laundry, and housekeeping house personOther duties as directedSafety and Security Perform duties in accordance with Safety and Security Policies and ProceduresPerform duties in accordance with OSHA, HAZCOM, and Blood Borne Pathogens regulations and other applicable state and local regulationsReport lost and found items in accordance with hotel proceduresQualifications:Good understanding of cleaning techniques and products1+ years as a professional housekeeper or similar positionImpeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skillsHigh school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalentGeneral knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safety preferredMINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to understand and comprehend English preferredOrganizational skillsAttention to detailAbility to follow written directionsProlonged periods of standing, carrying, and walkingFirm and simple grasping are required for all aspects of this positionClimbs stairs 20% of the timeBending and/or stooping up to 60% of the time while performing essential tasksBeing on knees up to 40% of the day cleaning floors, under sink and commode, and under bedsStanding and walking within the confines of the laundry room most of the time.
