**Job Title:** Retirement Plan Sales Associate

**Locations:** Boca Raton, FL

Mutual of America Financial Group ("Mutual of America") has specialized in providing retirement plan products (401(K), 403(b) and 457(b) deferred compensation plans) to small and mid-sized corporations and non-profit organizations since 1945. The Retirement Plan Sales Associate will report to the Regional Vice President and join a dedicated team of sales professionals who are all full of energy, enthusiasm and are highly driven to succeed.

**Responsibilities:**

The Retirement Plan Sales Associate will represent Mutual of America in a sales and marketing capacity to clients and prospects in an assigned territory with an emphasis on soliciting new group takeover plans and cross-selling other products.

- Setting qualified appointments with plan sponsors of 401k and 403b Plans through multiple strategies, cold calling, networking, and referrals

- Work within a geographic territory to cultivate new prospects, cross-sell solutions, reach and exceed goals and close sales.

- Attend client review meetings with Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) for the top five to ten clients in the territory to position the Sales Associate to ask clients for introductions and to be a reference for sales opportunities

**Required Qualifications:**

- At least one year of outside business-to-business sales experience with proven proficiency in selling, prospecting, and presenting

- Demonstrated cold calling sales ability, with a positive and persistent style

- Highly motivated

- Ability to effectively communicate

- Strong relationship building and territory management skills

- Active FINRA Series 6, 63 and SIE or must obtain within the first 90 days of employment

- Active State Life and Health Insurance License (in all states covered) required or obtained within 90 days of employment

- Valid drivers license required

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Bachelors degree preferred

- Knowledge and understanding of corporate/group retirement plans (403(b), 401(k) and 457 plans)
