Job Description

  • Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation for standard systems operating procedures.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for computing resource allocation.
  • Analyze and recommend cost-effective hardware and software solutions.
  • Review and oversee the work of lower-level technical staff.
  • Collaborate with network administrators to ensure smooth operation of multi-user computer systems.


Requirements

  • Shift: Second Shift ONLY (12 pm - 8 pm)
  • Location: Northern VA area - Roslyn, Arlington, Alexandria.
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in a Windows servers environment (e.g., 2008r2, 2012r2). Additional experience, education, and training may substitute for a degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • DoD 8750 certification (IAT level II, e.g., Security+ce).
  • Potential requirement to obtain CI Poly.
  • Experience in configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining VMware environments.
  • Proficiency in Remote Desktop Services and PowerShell scripting (other languages like Python are advantageous).
  • Knowledge of applying security settings and best practices, including DISA STIGS.
  • Familiarity with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
  • Experience with Group Policy Management (GPO) and applying Local Security Policies.
  • Proficient in using Windows Task Scheduler, Managing Active Directory, and system (hardware/software) installation and configuration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DISA and its support to mission partners.
  • TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred.
  • Expertise in integrating Network Management (NM) and Element Management (EM) systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet switches, SAN, and NAS.
  • Thorough understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
  • Linux and Solaris OS experience.
  • Familiarity with virtual environments.
