Our team is looking to onboard an Executive Director of Assisted Living and Personal Care to enhance and strengthen our mission of elevating, educating and advocating for a sustainable, quality long-term care continuum in Pennsylvania.

In this role, your primary focus will be leading the association s strategic priorities in support of our growing assisted living and personal care membership, while providing valuable insights and support on all things senior care from regulatory support to public policy and quality initiatives. This position requires unmatched attention to detail and a drive to pioneer new approaches that positively impact the association and our membership.


Join our leadership team and make a meaningful impact on Pennsylvania s vulnerable older residents and their providers of care, specifically our assisted living communities and personal care homes.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Serve as primary lead for the PHCA Assisted Living and Personal Care Board of Directors as a member of the association's leadership team;
  • Advocate for the interests of senior living, assisted living and personal care with local, state and federal stakeholder groups on behalf of member providers and member provider issues;
  • Collaborate with internal team members to develop and prioritize the association s assisted living and personal care regulatory, public policy and quality agendas;
  • Ensure support of the state affiliate s membership recruitment efforts through a comprehensive member services program;
  • Represent the provider community as the most trusted voice on assisted living and personal care in Pennsylvania.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have proven, direct knowledge and understanding of long-term care and senior living regulatory and public policy landscape;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholder groups;
  • Extremely detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities;
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
