Primavera is seeking a dynamic individual to join our innovative team as an **Adjunct Science Teacher.**
Heres what to expect:
* Provide communication to students and parents on a weekly basis through a variety of tools: phone, messaging, text messaging, and emails
* Grade student work within 24-48 hours of being submitted
* Evaluate student work by providing written comments on all submitted assignments
* Post a daily announcement in each course that motivates the students to participate in the daily lessons
* Manage the discussion board in each class to encourage participation and learning in the online classroom
* Meet weekly expectations as outlined in teacher training and the Teacher Expectations and Guidelines
* Participate in professional development and department meetings, as scheduled
* Assist with administering standardized assessments
* Establish rapport with students/parents and encourage students to maintain attendance and academic expectations
* Direct students to necessary resources including: teachers, tutor staff, admissions staff, guidance support, etc.
* Monitor and oversee student access to the Parent Student Portal and any other appropriate websites
* Properly document issues, concerns, and important information concerning students/parents as they present themselves
* Additional duties as needed

**Education/Training:**
* Bachelors Degree
* Arizona Teacher Certificate with an endorsement in Science
* Teaching experience at the secondary education level preferred
