JOB OVERVIEW: The purpose of this position is to assist the Kinetic Park Supervisor in the daily operations of front desk and concession stand (i.e. cash register sales, membership sales, program registrations, cleaning, etc.), while providing adequate supervision of park patrons using the facility.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

* Maintains positive public relations with visitors being courteous and polite.

* Operate front desk, concession stand and rock wall.

* Monitor skate course, bike course and park users.

* Clean & maintain appearance of interior & exterior of facility.

* Performs cleaning of the restrooms (sinks, toilets, floors, etc.) and cleaning of the concession stand and eating area (equipment, utensils, counters, tables, floors, etc.).

* Responsible for the cleanliness of the skate and bike areas which includes removal of items which do not belong, trash pickup and hosing down & sanitizing deck areas.

* Assists with programs and special events at the park (extreme sports instructor, birthday party attendant, camp counselor, Eggstravaganza egg hunt, Night of Fright haunted house, etc.).

* Aids Senior Attendant in conducting daily inspections of the facility and equipment.

* Responsible for turning in appropriate forms and all lost and found items to Supervisor.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Required to work various hours depending on park usage, weather, and work load.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Requires stable education and work history, relevant experience preferred. An equal combination of experience and training will be considered.

* Ability to communicate effectively with Parks and Recreation Department personnel, trainees, and the general public.

* Ability to perform duties of moderate physical demand including activities requiring reaching, stooping, grasping, chopping, carrying and lifting 35 lbs., and standing for long periods of time.

* This is a part-time position with approximately 10-24 hours per week. Estimated working time would be two to four days per week, working evenings and weekends.
