Position: Worship Ministry Team Leader Part-time $12,000.00 Annual Salary (8-10 Hours a week)

Reports To: Lead Pastor of The Tab Dr. Timothy James Ferrill

Worship Ministry Team Purpose:

The Purpose of the Worship Ministry Team is to lead and facilitate the praise and worship of God during all The Tab worship service experiences.

Worship Ministry Team Leader Description:

The Worship Pastor is to be the recruiter, coordinator, trainer, and leader of The Tab Worship Ministry Team.

Worship Ministry Team Leader Responsibilities:

1.Spiritual Life

  • Have believed and received Jesus Christ as one s personal Lord and Savior.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to growing in one s faith and relationship with Jesus Christ through practicing the Spiritual Disciplines of prayer, bible-study, meditation, fasting, worship, and witnessing.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to serving Jesus through one s local church or a para-church ministry.
  • Demonstrate experience serving in a Worship Ministry.

2. Team Building

  • Recruit and audition musicians and vocalists to serve in the Worship Ministry through personal contacts, referrals, advertisements, and the Tour the Tab spiritual growth seminars at The Tab.
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate weekly Ministry Team practices and worship services on Wednesday nights.
  • Lead the Worship Team in prayer, guidance, devotions, and vision for an engaging Worship service.
  • Delegate responsibilities and leadership to Team Members as needed.
  • Listen to ideas and suggestions from the Lead Pastor and Ministry Team Members regarding Worship.
  • Show appreciation for those serving in the Worship Ministry.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities agreed upon by both you and the Lead Pastor of The Tab.

3. Resourcing

  • Order, copy, and distribute music, lyrics, and tabs to all musicians and vocalists on the Worship Team.
  • Plan appropriate Christian Music and charts which models contemporary praise and worship formats.
  • Plan special music and songs when appropriate to bring emphasis to the Pastor s message and overall message series theme.
  • Log and maintain all songs into a catalogue to be referenced for future worship services.

4. Personal Development

  • Attend weekly practices and worship services.
  • Attend bi-monthly Lead Team meetings.
  • Attend annually a Worship Conference or Seminar to continue to develop and grow one s gifts, ministry effectiveness, and awareness.
  • Behave as a student to learn new music and methods which will continuously improve the worship experience at The Tab.
  • Communicate weekly with the Lead Pastor to ensure the Worship Ministry is coordinating and complimenting the message series and direction of the weekly worship service.

5. Budget

  • Time: 2-3 hours a week in preparation, 1-2 hours a week at practice, and 2-3 hours a week at worship.
  • Financial: propose a Ministry Budget to the Lead Pastor of The Tab each December for the upcoming year.
