The Campaign Against Hunger (TCAH) is one of the largest and most robust anti-hunger advocates in New York City. TCAH serves over 300,000 community members annually and advance equity for underserved and disenfranchised communities. TCAH's mission is to empower its neighbors to lead healthier, more productive and self-sufficient lives by increasing their access to nutritious food and related resources. It has an annual budget of $5.5 million (of which $3 million is from in-kind+ donations), a staff size of 28, and is looking to expand its dynamic team.

Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant provides direct support to the Executive Director and Director of Programs. The incumbent will demonstrate superb judgement while managing a variety of situations and confidential matters with utmost discretion. This individual will be responsible to craft and deliver strong verbal and written communications; exercise exceptional administrative and organizational skills; demonstrate strong capability to handle multiple tasks and balance multiple priorities. The ideal candidate must possess good interpersonal skills with a poised, polished, and friendly attitude. You are a self-starter who is able to prioritize effectively for the ED and Director of Programs. You are able to work well under pressure. Your role involves assisting with grants and fundraising activities, media response, special events and the preparation of materials.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Draft acknowledgement letters and other correspondence.
? Perform administrative activities (i.e. photocopying, faxing, mailing, answering phone inquiries, filing, ordering office supplies and scheduling meetings)
? Assist with the organization and implementation of special events.
? Highly responsive to direct and anticipated requests; providing fast, accurate, and thoughtful replies to requests, following up on action items on behalf of the executives as appropriate.
? Heavy scheduling and calendar management.
? Cultivate relationships with members of the press and critical stakeholders.
? Create and modify travel itineraries quickly and accurately.
? Manage meeting logistics, conference rooms, AV equipment, presentations, etc.
? Provide effective and expeditious meeting coordination including agendas, notes, action items and follow-ups.
? Screen and respond to phone calls and emails as appropriate. Handle incoming/outgoing packages and mail.

Execute deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting correspondence, preparing presentations, and other tasks that support the executive's effectiveness.
? Manage special projects, run occasional personal errands and take on additional duties as required
? Able to work independently in a complex environment; managing conflicting priorities.
? Proficiency in Word and Excel, as well as experience with donor tracking and/or database software is preferred.
? Demonstrated ability to set goals and consistent record of meeting deadlines and taking initiative to make confident decisions quickly.
? Direct experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Experience shall include a minimum of three (3) years' of proven success supporting executives and/or a senior executive team. Experience in administration/office management required. Requirements: ? Passionate about the organizational mission of alleviating hunger and the advancement of food justice. ? Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Services or related field. ? Honest, thorough and a keen sense for detail. ? Ability to gather, organize and present information.
? Proven expertise in building and maintaining positive relationships with diverse individuals.
? Strong execution and organization skills; prioritize and execute multiple priorities seamlessly.
? Superior written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
? Demonstrated proactive problem-solving skills with strong decision-making capability.
? Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
? Programmatic support in any TCAH location and the ability to travel.
