Pay: $25-35 Hourly, DOE, overtime paid at 1.5X after 40 hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and execute work orders using CMMS software, prepare reports on work performed.
  • Track and report on repair and maintenance activities; complete and maintain a variety of records.
  • Performs maintenance and repairs on all systems, equipment, and building including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pallet racking, dock door/dock systems, HVAC, lighting, office furniture.
  • Paint walls and/or equipment and make minor painting repairs.
  • Safely operate various MHE Equipment (Scissor Lift, Forklift, Stock Picker)
  • Work at heights of up to 40 feet
  • Use tact and diplomacy in all interactions with fellow associates.
  • Responsible for company tools, replacement parts, and maintenance equipment used in the performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area.
  • Perform PMs (Preventative Maintenance) on equipment, and maintain PM log with proper documentation, per USF policy.
  • Comply with all USF and government guidelines regarding safety when working on equipment (i.e. Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, required documentation, safe work environment, etc.)
  • Coordinates with other departments as necessary to ensure upgrades and repairs to building/grounds are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Completes all facility projects in timely fashion.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in various activities to keep the building and grounds running smoothly.
  • Ensures accurate and up-dated re-certifications of commercial equipment.
  • Complies with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, etc.)

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $25.00- $35.00 an hour. This role is also eligible for overtime compensation. REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three years general maintenance experience prefered.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid state Drivers License

ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of general methods and practices used in a variety of building trades, such as carpentry, general construction, electric, plumbing, painting, and heating/air conditioning systems.
  • Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in a variety of building construction and maintenance trades; use and purpose of general construction tools and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills related to data entry/retrieval.
  • Basic principles and practices of record keeping.
  • English usage, spelling, punctuation and grammar; business correspondence.
  • Modern office equipment and procedures including use of a variety of software applications.
  • Working knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain co-worker relationships.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to successfully engage in individual and team discussions and meetings.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks against multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Ability to apply all relevant policies in a consistent, timely and objective manner.
  • Ability to work nights/weekends dependent on weather/projects.
