A mid sized bank is looking to add a Chief Compliance Officer to the team! In this role you will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, reporting frameworks, procedures, and training programs for employees across the organization. This individual advises the Board of Directors and executive management on appropriate measures to ensure ongoing compliance amidst changing market dynamics. This role is fully remote with periodic travel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to meet integrity standards and comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Adapt internal compliance directives as business and regulatory environments evolve.
- Provide comprehensive training company wide to ensure employees and the Board of Directors understand and adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor operations for regulatory breaches and ethical lapses using the enterprise risk management framework.
- Establish policies and standards for consumer compliance across all business units and products.
- Collaborate cross functionally with Legal and Risk to address compliance issues through existing channels.
- Oversee independent third-party compliance assessments.
- Coordinate compliance assessments with Internal Audit & Assurance to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
- Regularly report compliance operations, progress, and effectiveness to the Risk Policy & Compliance Committee and senior management.
- Supervise Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Fair Lending programs to ensure compliance with consumer affairs regulations and promote our brand in the communities we serve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred
- 10+ years experience within Banking compliance
- 5+ years of management experience
- Well versed in BSA/AML, Fair Lending, and CRA rules and regulations
- Any of the following certifications are a plus: CAMS, CRCM, CCEP, CFCS, CCBCO
