The purpose of the role:


An Order Entry Representative will play a fundamental role in the overall success of the business unit. The Order Entry Representative will be responsible for entering customer orders and ensuring accuracy of these orders to include; function of product, coordinating product line, colors, etc. This position requires a high level of attention to detail for order accuracy.


Job Duties May Include:

  • Review customer orders for accuracy (Pricing, Shipping, Dates etc.)
  • Oversee and enter inbound customer PO s in a timely fashion
  • Enter orders in the selling system and understand plant specific shipping schedules
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM)
  • Understanding and navigation of SAP
  • Learn different order types and transactions for processing data (EDI/WebSource)
  • Expedite requests as agreed upon with sales and supervisor
  • Partner with Shipping and Transportation teams to execute seamless transactions
  • Ensure proper shipping facilities are arranged and in order based on client, destination of product, availability, etc.
  • Advise Inside Sales Representative of any pricing discrepancies and training opportunities
  • Prints documents and forwards to appropriate parties for review in Customer Service Department
  • Records or files copies of orders as needed
  • Maintains integrity of customer database
  • Report any issues or discrepancies back to Inside Sales Rep, Outside Sales Rep or customer
  • Assist in entry and review process of marketing materials
  • Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary determined based on the needs of the business


If that sounds like you....here's what we need in terms of education and experience:

  • Associate s degree or equivalent work experience in a field such sales or customer service
  • Knowledge of extensive business software (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong phone presence and ability to make/take dozens of calls per day
  • Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Experience with CRM databases or ability to learn all aspects of current CRM databases
