Position Overview: As the EHS Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs within our organization. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, while also fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship among our employees.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry best practices.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  3. Provide guidance and support to management and employees on EHS-related issues, including training, awareness programs, and incident investigation.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business processes and decision-making.
  5. Manage and maintain all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications required for our operations.
  6. Lead emergency response and crisis management activities, including developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans.
  7. Stay current on emerging EHS trends, regulations, and technologies, and proactively recommend improvements to our programs and practices.
  8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance, reduce environmental impact, and optimize resource utilization.
  9. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, external auditors, and other stakeholders on EHS matters.
  10. Champion a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability throughout the organization, promoting employee engagement and ownership of EHS goals and objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software/tools.
