Our client is looking for a Fashion Designer with experience designing bags to join their team, full time! This role starts immediately and is HYBRID, in office 3 days a week and work from home 2 days in Irving, TX. *Please only apply if you are open to being onsite 3 days/week and located in the Dallas, TX area.
The Fashion Designer will be working cross-functionally with sales, production, and licensing teams to manage the product design and development process from concept through production, specifically on design of bags for well-known client(s).
MUST have experience designing bags previously to be considered.
Fashion Designer Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree required
- 3 + years experience
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and product lifecycle management software
- Must be able to work in both MAC and Microsoft products
- Prior experience designing bags, hosiery or small accessories
Fashion Designer Responsibilities:
- Work cross-collaboratively with sales, manufacturing, and licensing teams throughout the product development lifecycle
- Conduct market and trend research, collaborate with sales development partners on line planning
- Conceptualize and design new licensed bag products for the given line of business
- Present product concepts to clients and sales team members
- Create inspiration boards, tech packs, product designs, and proof product concepts
- Plan, direct, and oversee the operations of the given line of business
- Enter and manage product concepts in product lifecycle management software
- Address product concept comments from the organization, clients, customers, manufacturing partners, and develop design solutions, as needed
- Communicate with overseas vendors, develop product development instructions and manufacturing partner recommendations, review product samples, and manage sample approvals process
- Manage licensing approvals process
