Position Overview:

As a Residential BIM Specialist for Construction Materials on the BIMaire Team, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our ability to define, manage and optimize building material usage working with and enhancing our detailed CAD modeling. You will be responsible for configuring and maintaining automated material estimation, working with procurement personnel, anticipating vendor concerns, and implementing software solutions to streamline our processes. Your expertise in using MiTek SAPPHIRE Software (specifically, SAPPHIRE Build/Kova, SAPPHIRE Build/Blackpoint) and other ERP and BIM management platforms will be essential in ensuring efficient and accurate production material counts.
Key Responsibilities:

Material Estimation: Utilize your expertise in construction material estimation to accurately assess material requirements for field-built and pre-manufactured residential projects

Purchasing: Work directly with procurement managers to drive cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely availability of materials

Vendor Considerations: Investigate the needs, limits and practices of material suppliers, installers and product manufacturing

Software Implementation: Collaborate with the software development team to design, implement, and optimize software solutions that enhance material supply processes

Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure that materials outputs can be quickly and effectively validated
Required Software Experience:

Proficiency in MiTek SAPPHIRE Software, including at least two of the following:

  • SAPPHIRE Build - ERP (aka - Kova)
  • SAPPHIRE Build Option Management Suite (aka - Blackpoint)
  • SAPPHIRE Manufacturing Suite (Management, Structure, ShopNet, etc)

Experience with ERP Data Management within a large-scale production homebuilding company
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in residential material supply, estimating, purchasing, and working with high-fidelity 3D CAD models
  • Knowledge of software development and the ability to work with development teams to enhance software tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
