Downing, a leading provider of US-manufactured wellheads, frac completion systems, and production trees, is seeking a Business Development person for its Northeast sales team. This position will be based in Morgantown, WV and will report to the VP, Business Development.

What is Business Development?The business development role is responsible for the sale of automated completion rental equipment, specifically Downing's Freedom Series product line, wellheads, and production trees to new and existing customers within their assigned territory. Domestic travel up to 25% of the time.

In This role, you will:

  • Perform professional presentations and demonstrations of company products
  • Penetrate targeted accounts
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers
  • Emphasize product/service value to customer, quote prices, and discuss credit terms
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth
  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold calling if necessary
  • Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory/customers in a time-efficient manner
  • Use marketing data to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate records including reports, including but not limited to, weekly expense reports, sales reports, CRM data, etc.
  • Create RFP responses to potential clients
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services by monitoring competition through the gathering of current marketplace information on pricing, products, competitor activities, and additional research

Required and Preferred Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of Hydraulic fracturing operations is preferred
  • Network of operator contacts within the Morgantown area
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
  • Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance
  • Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Exceptional verbal communication, presentation and listening skills
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Must be organized and possess good time management skills
  • Strong written communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or related field preferred; or equivalent of three years' experience in progressively responsible sales position
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
