Working Title Custodian II (10:00am-6:30pm: Scottsbluff, NE) Department Panhandle Rsch & Ext Center-0942 Requisition Number S_211106 Posting Open Date 01/14/2022 Application Review Date: (To ensure consideration, please submit all application materials before review date) 03/01/2022 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Description of Work Perform routine cleaning and general upkeep of Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff, including offices, housing unit, hallways, meeting rooms, restrooms, common areas, and some lab areas. Scrub, strip, refinish and polish floors using heavy industrial-type powered scrubbing and buffing machines. Vacuum and clean carpets using industrial-type vacuum cleaners and carpet extractors. Collect and dispose of refuse. Perform light maintenance such as changing bulbs. Assist with grounds-keeping and snow removal seasonally. Maintain building security after business hours. Other duties as assigned. Some heavy lifting required. Normal working hours are 10:00am to 6:30pm although these may vary depending on building events, weather, or other needs.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a valid drivers license and meet University driver eligibility requirements. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma preferred. Previous custodial experience desirable including maintaining various flooring surfaces.
